Election day stuff

Tuesday is coming! Once you’ve done your civic duty and voted, you’ll no doubt be glued to various media outlets and awaiting some results. Those of you in Vermont may wish to keep a Firefox tab open to channel17.org, where all kinds of Vermont-centric election coverage will be going on.

Along with the cable access channel’s astoundingly comprehensive local election coverage (seriously, no other Vermont TV outlet touches channel 17 when it comes to live election coverage), there will be live feeds from Montpelier and City Hall in Burlington and video from polling places, party and candidate headquarters, victory parties and more.

Channel17.org is also going to be a new media election hub, featuring open election comments from the Exit Voices blog, an ongoing Twitter feed (#vtelxn) and live blogging from Seven Days staffers Shay Totten and Cathy Resmer.

I’ll be blogging all day Tuesday for Exit Voices, posting videos from polling places and interesting political tidbits that I find out there in the Vermont blogosphere, and I’ll be on hand at channel 17 on Tuesday evening to try and egg people on to comment on the elections.

I’ll add that tomorrow (Sunday) Steve, Emily and I will be doing a special pre-election episode of Poli-Sci-Fi Radio form 4-6 p.m. We’ll have interviews with some surprise special guests and some electoral predictions as well. Listen live and participate in the live chat!
