Don’t you hate it when people say that this time of year? Me too.
Emily and I are going on a little holiday visit with family in the Simmon homeland for New Year’s. We will be drinking and playing music and Mafia and generally relaxing like hell. My uncle’s house in teh swank, but his internet is shaky. I’ll be checking email and such roughly daily, but I doubt I’ll blog much over the next week or so unless something really amazing happens.
Candleblog will return in full force in a week (including the conclusion of the best-of-Candleblog 2008 recap), so see you all then!
UPDATE: If you’re reading this on the 30th or 31st of December, the solar system has seen fit to give us a lovely display to close out 2008. Look to the western sky after sunset and see Venus (the VERY bright point), the crescent Moon, Jupiter and Mercury all lined up along the ecliptic. Emily and I saw all but Mercury last night and it’s a beautiful sight for the end of the world year!
