Hi there, Internet!

First off, I just filed a new Spacetime Report over at The Contrarian. Check it out.

Also, I’ll be blogging over at the VIFF blog a bit for the next couple of weeks. The film festival starts Friday and runs for ten days, so I’ll be pretty swamped between my job, teaching and that. Not that it will have much impact on a blog I haven’t been updating much, but I thought I’d let you know anyway. Watch my Friendfeed or twitter feed for updates.

Now here are some links for you…

  • Sepsis — cool little SF film on Vimeo.
  • Cardboard — amazingly cool stop motion animation.
  • Backwater — the latest Michael Fisher montage of gorgeously photographed images of deeply troubled characters exchanging intense looks imbued with emotion and hidden meaning. (I kid Michael, but truly I’m in awe of his cinematographic chops and prolific filmmaking schedule.)
  • A collection of posters from the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
  • Mad Men’s mad props.
  • Charlie Stross on why he hates Star Trek.

  1. Thanks for the link, Bill. Howard loves the Smithsonian posters. He’s nutty for airplanes. Rents Cessnas out of a small airport in Berlin. He’s your guy if you ever need aerial work for a project.
