So my late start getting to school led to me having to stay a little late after class to catch up on some stuff, which in turn led to my being late to work--staff meeting already in progress! They had a cake for my birthday (tomorrow), which was nice.
Anyway, the staff meeting hasn't even ended and I start getting calls from folks involved in the Buddhist shoot on the 18th. I'm trying to figure out if we are married to using the older Sony cameras in the truck or if we can substitute some newer, spiffier looking cameras into the mix. It's looking pretty grim from the info I have so far. Also, it's been a couple of years since I have worked in the truck and I need to re-familiarize myself with the set-up in there. Lori, who runs the truck, uses it frequently and I guess everything is up to snuff, but I don't want to leave any surprises to the last minute. I certainly don't want to upset the Buddhists. Those guys are *so* touchy!
So now the phone calls and emails have subsided a bit and things are calmer. I've eaten, which was needed, and I suddenly have very little to do. I can't go in and finish Mark's DP reel until 10pm when the edit room is free, so in the mean time I will sit and surf and blog.
