Cultural EnlightenmentSunday, September 19 2004 @ 08:58 PM So two of my pop culture heroes are coming to the Hopkins Center at Datmouth College in a few weeks and I'm all excited about it. This American Life's host, Ira Glass, will be speaking with comics genius Chris Ware about storytelling in radio and comics.
I just bought tickets! ...I think. The ticketing interface for Hop Center shows is retarded. It asked me to type in the name of the show, the date, the ticket price and the total! Whatever, I'll see if the tickets show up.

yah, I had to copy and paste the event name from the event calendar. When I clicked on their link to the event calendar it came up blank. How lame. I was going to refer to the event as the "glassware" performance but it would've invited disaster.

Yeah? You really gonna go? Cool. Maybe we can meet up at a cafe or something before the show. Emily and Ron and Reba and our friend Ami (owner of the big hairy pea from a previous post) will be going too. Any other Candleblog readers want to go? We can all wear pink carnations or something.

ok, well I wrote to Amy Stender who lives down in that area and she said there's a coffee house right near the Hop Center called The Dirt Cowboy Cafe. That would be a good spot to meet up. Amy can't make it to the show unfortunately, but any other Candlebloggers should try to make it if you're in the area.
