Back when I was at RIT, I wanted to put a camera with intervalometer on the dashboard of my car and shoot a trip to MA and then back to RIT. 'Course I never did it. Am I still a genius like Michel Gondry? I thought of it first.

Needless to say, the art isn't in using the stop-motion technique, but in using the technique to achieve the desired effect. I imagine that less was left to chance than the video's photodocumentary style suggests.
Fun tip: after the QuickTime movie's downloaded fully, click-and-drag the little handlebar back and forth. It'll make you feel like a Master of Space and Time.
