Friday no-blogging

life of billMy interweb was down yesterday. The cable went out for some unknown reason and I was cut off from the world. Fortunately it was back on by the time last night's excellent episode of Battlestar Galactica came on (I had R&R tape it for me just in case!). Thinking I should not neglect Candleblog (or my spa... I mean email), Alex and I went out to Speeder & Earl's and their free wi-fi node but unfotunately arrived there moments before they closed for the day. I slammed down my mocha and barely had time to download my email before they whisked us out the door.

Emily is stranded in New Mexico. Because of Spring Break there are no flights she can get on today or tomorrow and since she flies standby I'm not sure when I'll see her. I hope she reads this blog entry because her dentist's office called to confirm a Monday appointment and she probably ought to call them and cancel it (call me too!).

Alex has quickly fallen into my vampire schedule. The night before last Flameape came over and we stayed up almost until dawn talking about comic books. If we had only played a little D&D it would have been a high school nostalgia extravaganza--soda, TV, comics, not a girl in sight... ah memories.

Last night was dinner and philosophy of skepticism at Koto with R&R and Andrea followed by a Muddy Waters visit wherein Galandrielle regailed us with her visit to an astrologer.

A little late night video editing, debt reduction and financial future advise from Alex, and finally a really excellent episode of BSG and it was dawn! I surprisingly woke up at the crack of noon today.

Now we're off to buy a plunger (can't find one here--it's possible we don't actually have one) and a birthday card for Alex's dad and with any luck I'll organize a game night for later tonight.

Alex continues in his quest to discover just how much cereal one man can eat in a week.

Come home soon, Em.
