It's a lovely Saturday afternoon and a Candleblog posse consisting of
Ntodd,
flameape and myself headed down to Waitsfeild and a magical, mysterious place called
Small Dog Electronics. It's a Mac reseller and service center. flameape wanted to buy a used Powerbook for his mobile self since his big G5 rig is living at "the office" now. He also bought a virtual buttload of peripherals with which to trick it out--more RAM, an iSight, a wireless mouse and a podcast-ready audio interface. Ntodd got himself a little dock and speaker set for his iPod, and I walked away with a USB jog wheel and a new AC adaptor for my iPod (to replace the one I lost a week after buying the thing). We truly worshipped at the altar of Apple today. With DanZ just about to receive his brand spanking new G5 iMac, the Candleblog team is going to be pretty close to an all-Mac group (we just have to get NTodd to come back over to the light side of The Force).
Returning to BTV, we immediately hit the Radio Bean and their wonderful oasis of free WiFi. flameape's new machine needs juice, however, and there's no outlet in sight. Perhaps an extension cord will do the trick.
Here are some pictures from our nerd-tastic day!

UPDATE: We have power now, but flameape's CD drive won't read any disks... :( I guess that's what you get for buying used gear... Back to Small Dog we must go to demand satisfaction! ...and buy more stuff!
