feel my pain

life of billNot to turn Candleblog into my personal complaint log or anything, but here's what's going on right now:

I'm sitting at my desk at work at 12:19 am, slowly transcribing a hard-to-hear interview with the owner of the Denny's on Shelburne Road for an article that I am writing for Business People Vermont this month. My deadline is tomorrow night and I haven't begun writing yet. The interview is hard to hear because 1. it was recorded on a crappy tape recorder (sorry mom, thanks for lending it to me though!) and 2. because of the LIVE ROCK-N-ROLL BAND practicing in the basement below me. This is the second night in a row that it's been like this. Me listening, typing, pushing rewind, cursing the stupid band, typing, pushing rewind, cursing, etc.

On top of tomorrow's deadline with the article, I have to teach my weekly middle schoolers-learning-video class tomorrow and I haven't prepared for it yet.

Oh well. Sleep is overrated anyway.
