What is the best science fiction TV show of all time?
With 18 votes counted, here are the results:
Next Gen barely nosed past the new BSG for first place. Nice to see Firefly ranking so high too. More polls to come in the future (maybe).

Of course the new "Battlestar Gallactica" won--it proves my theory that everything good in American television started with "Maverick" in the 1950s, including "the Sopranos," "Kolchak," "Northern Exposure," and, of course, "The A Team."
It works like this in this case: Roy Huggins created "Maverick," Roy Huggins and Glenn A. Larson created "Alias Smith and Jones," which helped give Larson the clout to make other shows, including the original "Battlestar Gallactica," which begat the rocking new version. Poll closed

Ah, makes sense. Of course BSG didn't actually win. It was edged out by Next Gen, despite my vote (and Emily's).

There was an Alias Smith and Jones marathon on New Years. More info. Vaguely remember watching this show. I think I liked Wild Wild West better. Robert Conrad was muy macho. I also remember Here Come The Brides.
I think I mixed up Ben Murphy, thinking he was on Here Come The Brides. I have no recollection of David Soul. I was only seven, but aware of Bobby Sherman, only because my sisters were gaga over him.
Good stuff on those old shows. Tho, the old BSG was pretty pathetic.
