Look at the sad little nerd. He just wants to be needed. Why you gotta hurt him like that, Vonage?

I am seriously considering the move to VoIP, because I am tired of never using my landline phone for long distance and STILL getting bills for $40 or more. Have you ever looked at the 2-page list of nonsense charges on your phone bill? It's like they don't even try to name them in ways to avoid customer suspicion.
"Ah, Christ, I'm out of ideas, and who cares, anyway? There's nothing they can do about it. Charge 'em another $5 and call it a 'Wire Stretching Fee'." --- Of course you realize, this means war.

I'm still using Lingo. It's SOOOO much cheaper than a landline. There are some interference problems because my handheld phones (w/ 3 extensions), microwave oven and two wireless routers seem to have a synergistic destructive effect on the integrity of each other's functionality ... except for the microwave which works great.

consistant malfunction issues, including a weekend of lost phone service
due to constant attempts by lingo to upload firmware to the box, forced
me to kick lingo to da curb. like rat from a sinking ship- i swam to the
uss vona---
aw crap. it sank.
i wish you well, citizen danz! your loyalty is your stength! pax lingo!
seriously- better functionality- reliable hardware. all the better to instill
in me a false sense of security in a fledgling tecnology!

I'm gonna have to check them out when I get back home (in DC for work). [Even if it makes me a traitor, sorry.]
Oh, and I think they need a little therapy about the nerds thing. I mean, big font in red? Seems like they've got a few issues.... Of course you realize, this means war.

I'm a huge fan of vonage, I've been using it for almost a year now. My phone bill went from 36$ / month (no long distance) to 16 $ / month (with everything)

Being here in NYC and given the 2004 blackout, I think I'll keep my landline. Electricity usage has been at an all time high, but I pray to God that we don't get hosed again.
