So tonight I picked up the phone and called their customoer support number. After navigating a fairly lengthy automated system I was told the hold time would be "five to ten minutes." Ten minutes of classical music later and there was a ring and I was cut off. Cursing, I redialed the number, re-navigated the automated system, and was told there was a "ten to fifteen minute" wait time. Ten minutes later, there was a ring and I was cut off.
Now I'm angry and I'm using Candleblog to vent. MythTV is looking better and better all the time.
UPDATE: I finally got a human being on the phone and she said it would be 14 business days from the day the unit was received in Louisville. Starting from the day after it was received there, today would be 11 business days. 14 business days would be Friday. That will be 3 solid weeks without TiVo, which is basically 3 solid weeks without TV. Fortunately we have good friends who record the important stuff for us. Unfortunately, HBO started rerunning Deadwood season 2 on Saturday and I'm so ready for that.
