Shortly I'll be heading home to eat some leftovers. Emily and I are going over to my mom's place tonight for a second Thanksgiving dinner--because we're crazy. Then I hope we make it out to a movie--maybe Harry Potter.
Here endeth the blog post.

Does she look old enough yet for me to be attracted to her?

If she's old enough to bleed, she's old enough to breed.

If she's old enough to Patronus, she's old enough to bonus.

I guess there was really no reason to make that into a crappy pun.

I can't remember who told me this story (Spine, maybe?), but it involved a Burlington cab driver observing some obviously underage girls and commenting in a thick Vermont accent: "old enough to go to the store, old enough to buy bread!" WTF kind of euphamism is that?

You've got the aphorism right, Bill, but it wasn't a cab driver. It was a
hitchhiker I picked up one day in Lyndonville, in 1990 or '91. As I drove,
he saw two girls walking on the sidewalk ahead and made some sort of
guttural noise indicating pleasure and anticipatiion. And when we got
close enough to see that the girls were, like, 10, he shrugged and voiced
the aforementioned words of wisdom.

That's so 90's Lyndonville. What's hysterical is that the hitchhiker isn't too far off. The original quaint countyr aphorism is: "If she's old enough to buy bread she's old enough to set fire to her parent's car".

She does indeed look old enough. But hands off: she's mine as soon as she turns 18 in 2008.

She's probably already been bent over every cauldron on those movie sets by the actors that play Dumbledore, Snape, Potter, Weasley, Malfoy, et al.

Sorry boys, I'm bringing Miss Watson to Chile, where the age of consent is 12.
I'll be showing her the kind of magic MY wand can do. Friday Coffeeblogging

Actually, I just need to drag her cute little ass over the border to Mexico, before I start stuffing her like a Christmas Goose.
