This is possibly the most retarded comment ever written or uttered. Ignoring for a moment the sickly, incestuous, self-interested, rich-person-kissing-rich-person-ass stench that the show exudes like a Piney day-laborer down here in Jersey exudes the reek of BO and pork roll, the reason I have no interest in watching the Academy Awards is because there are now SO MANY GODDAMN AWARD SHOWS ON TV it has to GET RATINGS, something it was never forced to do back in the Glory Days of the 70's when it was the only show in town. How does it get ratings? By focusing on films everyone watches, i.e.: blockbusters. Rather than tell people what a good film is, which is what it used to do, the Academy now tries to tell as many people as possible that they already know good films, and that they're oh-so smart with impeccable taste for watching Gladiator, because people will tune in if their asses are gonna be smooched as much as the narcissistic rich people they're watching.

All 3 Lord of the Rings films were worthy of Best Film nomination? And any of them should have won? Give me a fucking dipshit-Hollywood break.
