A truly beautiful night. So emotional. And musically fantastic!

It think it was right up there with the band's best performances. This is
doubly amazing, considering the fact that they haven't played a show in
like, 8 years. They totally transcended the hype, I'm happy to say.

Viva, indeed!

Yeah, it was a pretty amazing experience. I hope the video captures some of that. I've looked at chunks of it and the picture is pretty damn good. The scratch track is a straight feed off the board so it's pretty rough--heavy vocals and guitar, no bass at all. The mix will help a lot. I really hope the video and the film will expose a lot more people to the band. Yay Pants!

Anybidy take pictures who's reading this? As soon as I have some video captured, I'll post a little clip. Send me stills and I'll post them here too.

Viva, indeed... or VI A!!, as the night went on, finally resulting in V A!!

Thorsen & Myesha were taking pictures I know, but not sure of who all
else. Personally I don't think I want to hear/see anything for about a year,
and just preserve my memories. Always better that way. But I dunno...
ask me next week.

Listening to the Viva CD and holy shit! Beat the Piss might be my favorite song ever! Also, I remember loving Both Eyes Closed a lot when you guys would play it out, but I'd totally forgotten about it. THANK YOU for releasing this stuff. I'd love to hear the rest of the Hutch's barn recordings.

Last night you rocked like the old days, but I also loved this more sedate stuff and it's nice to have some evidence of that side of the band.

CD??? HMMMMM. Bill, I'm looking at you...

Just kidding.

Seriously though, I took a fucking bath on those CDs. Out of 300 pressed
we sold maybe... 40? And that's including some sold at the barbecue on
Sunday. I must admit I had higher hopes for a crowd of around 600.

If ANYONE is interested in owning one, you can either:
a.) paypal me $12 -- lonesomewhistle@hotmail.com w/ your address
or
b.) I hope to set up Pure Pop with some and sell them thus. I'm gone til
Thursday, but Jeff Lawson said he might get them some before then.

Please do not mistake any of the fake pissyness above for actual sour
grapes. I am so, so amazingly grateful for Saturday and everyone that
was a part of it -- the whole week, in fact. it was all such an
unbelieveably overwhelming and humbling experience (in a good way). I
am still kinda in it, and haven't really sorted it all out yet.
