Inside The Actor's Studio: Funny Moment

pop cultureBrief, hysterical anecdote: As I write this, Al Pacino is on "Inside The Actor's Studio" on Bravo. Great. Two pretentious blowhards, but Pacino is entirely genuine while Lipton is his usual annoying self. They're discussing Pacino's childhood and the following exchange takes place:

Lipton: Tell me about your early childhood. What did they call you?

Pacino: "They called me Sonny ... Sonny Boy ... after an Al Jolson song. I used sing ... I used to do Jolson ... as a 3yr old.

Lipton: You used to do Jolson as a 3yr old?

This exchange was hysterical, although I seemed to be the only one laughing, especially at the slight inflection in Lipton's voice trying to guess what Jolson was like when he was that young. Pacino didn't hear Lipton's confusion and the audience was pretty star-struck. I nearly spit out my beverage.
