Spine was the first Candleblog team member after me, so he is well aware of our No Cat Blogging rule, in effect since Candleblog's first day: April 15th, 2004. He will be punished.

From my location here at 12,000ft and my relatively low bandwidth, it is impossible for me to reply with more photos of cats.... to say nothing of the general unavailability of cats at this altitude. As I fight to retain consciousness and to avoid sawing off yet another extremity to provide sustenance for myself and my cavemates I have the opportunity to watch an excellent video on YouTube of Nora, the Piano Playing Cat. I'm sure if you google it you can find it quickly, but I'm really growing too weak and can't afford to take the time or keystrokes with this rudimentary browser i've cobbled together with bits of string, some duct tape and the handle of my ice axe to post a direct link. good luck and may we greet each other with joy in the shadow world of heroes after ragnarrok. but i'm growing weaker ... weaker ...
... okay, i'm not dead yet... but this brings up an interesting characteristic of web2pointOH: information is so readily available that including links is really more work than is necessary. if we take the time to communicate keywords that return highly relevant google results, the syntax is almost trivial and the content is more informative than any XML, as in the "Nora" example above. we can even simplify the requirement by not forcing keyword relevancy when the context alone suffices, like "mentos guy" where the cultural commonality creates meme-like keyword patterns in the mind of the reader who is then free to use whatever search method returns the desired result. even better is dropping the requirement of a specific result and simply allow any of a general set of result to become a signifier proxy ("proxifier"). the term 'mentos guy' need neither be googled nor lead to a google search at all. frankly, i'm as happy restricting my texting to memes as i am browsing overlycute. after all, it's not like i'm learning ajax or designing synchronous fast packet switching testbed sandbox server mode failover redundancy coding optimization compilers. Is punitive catblogging on Candleblog kind of like what cats themselves
do when they wish to punish their people for neglecteing them--pee in inappropriate places? I have to say, though, I like this picture. Gorgeous kitty. Punitive catblogging
