Back in 2005, TMBG's John Linnell was tapped by the now-defunct WNYC radio show, The Next Big Thing, for a contest they were doing to get certain English words that were in danger of being dropped from the dictionary back into general use -- or at least given enough modern references to keep them in the official lexicon. The words Linnell was given for the challenge were contrecoup, craniosophic (no non-TMBG reference found) and limerent. Linnell took the words and wrote a song around them that wound up on their latest album, The Else. Here's a sample of the lyrics (adding another written reference for the lexicographers):

You can tell just by looking at my skull

Contrecoup, on the rebound
Contrecoup hurt me again
And the second was worse by far than the first
