Fellow Vermont filmmaker Michael Fisher is a true auteur. His voice is perfectly distinct in each of his films. His latest short is called
To a Flame and it was shot by
Nate Beaman -- a friend & filmmaker I've
blogged about before. It's a dark, haunting film with astounding visuals.
Watch it online (33 MB QT), then go get the razor blades and run a warm bath, 'cause yikes.
Michael says he's currently "working on a WWII short right now that makes "To A Flame" look like an episode of The Smurfs." I'm looking forward to that one.
Nate Beaman has also set up a Final Cut Pro users blog called, appropriately enough, Final Cut User.
