I'm a wiener!

filmmakingLast night the Vermont Film Commission awarded me the James Goldstone award and a $500 check for my film, Digital Pamphleteer, about Carpetbagger Steve Benen.  The Goldstone Award is presented every year at the Vermont International Film Festival to "an emerging Vermont filmmaker."  You hear that?  I'm emerging.

It was quite a day.  First Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize, and then I won an award named in honor of the Vermonter who directed Where No Man Has Gone Before.

I should add that Nate Beaman shot the film beautifully with his HVX200 and swanky Zeiss lenses and that my VCAM cohort, Seth Mobley lent a hand as a camera operator and lighting guy too.  I share the award -- if not the cash ;) -- with them.
