On a related note, I had lunch today with Brad Robertson, the new president and publisher of the Burlington Free Press. Brad is keen to build up the Freeps' web presence considerably and was talking to me about video, blogging and videoblogging. We didn't come up with a specific plan for my involvement with Burlington's paper of record, but it's possible something interesting could emerge from our conversation today. I have a few ideas. Brad impressed me. He's read lots of Chris Anderson and John Battelle and seems quite hip to the whole web 2.0 thing, the power of the long tail, and the influence of democratizing technologies on culture and business. He just might be the breath of fresh air that the Freeps needs. Hell, maybe I'm the breath of fresh air that the Freeps needs! :)
I hope Verizon doesn't sue us!
