At 5:00 today I went to a panel about user revolts in online communities that featured Vermont's own internet folk hero, Jessamyn West.  It's funny because back in Vermont she's just a librarian from Bethel, but here at SXSW she's something of a superstar, being one 3rd of the admin team at MeFi.  The panel was awesome and I think Jessamyn totally stole the show with her wit and down-to-earth Vermont charm. 

In a few minutes I'll be meeting Vermonter Jim Brayton for dinner with a couple of other friends.  Then who knows.  Good day so far.

Things are sounding grim back home.  Emily just told me our power is out due to an ice storm and she's spending the night in Charlotte with her folks.  It's 60 degrees and clear here in Austin.  I know, I can bite Emily's ass.  :)
