Blogger Meet-Up
Today I spent some time in the garden before heading off to the Radio Bean to meet and mingle with the Vermont blogosphere’s finest. It was sunny, in the mid 60s and breezy. What a lovely day. A good time was had by all.
The Carpetbagger, my husband Bill of Candleblog, the Carpetbagger’s wife Evening and The Le Duo.

Therem, Evening, Cathy of 802 Online, Candleboy, Sheri who blogs for DFA, and Gahlord of Thoughtfaucet. (That’s my computer they’re all gathered around!)

Therem and Evening (The Carpetbagger and a peasant with a pitchfork having a political discussion in the background).

Then the knitting contingent showed up. (Notice Jose from Cabin Fever and Matty the Greek in the background–Eyyy!)

So, there wasn’t really a whole contingent of knitters, it was just me, E_to_the_M and our non-blogging friend, Portenheimer. Sadly, I didn’t even have any good knitting with me. But check out E_to_the_M’s finished sock–oh, wait–it’s camouflage, so you probably won’t be able to spot it!
Also seen, despite my lack of photographic evidence:
NanuqFC from Green Mountain Daily
Will from Salient
and Tanner from Highgate
and if there is anyone else who managed to slip my sieve of a mind, I apologize.

Aw, man. I didn’t go because I thought you’d all be outside and I can’t be out in the sun. But you were not outside. You were INside. Phooey.

I also dislike the sun (I overheat pretty quickly and turn beet red. It’s embarrassing.) There are sure to be other meet-ups, and you can bet that you’ll have me (at the very least) to talk to in the shade.

I look a little furious… I had a lot of fun, sorry we missed the peeps who showed up on time.

I nominate you and Bill as Queen and King of BlogLand. thanks for organizing Sat and for blogging it so quickly! Man, what weather!? So delicious, and more bloggers than you could shake a stick at!

My friend Vanessa and I turn beet red sometimes. We don’t enjoy it at all, especially when people point and cry out, “Oh my God! Are you okay? Your face is BEET RED!”. One day we discovered that it’s called “idiopathic craniofacial erythema”. This discovery was novel but ultimately unhelpful.

Thanks for being there, taking pics, and then blogging about it, Emily! I now know how scary my little “sideburn” looked, and have since taken some scissors to it.
This collection of links is really helpful, too. I didn’t know the URLs for a lot of the folks who showed up, and now I do!
